Customer Service Representative

This is a full-time, 1st shift position, with some flexibility in setting work hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding order status and entering and maintaining customer orders.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Talan and customers.
  • Generating work orders for non-master scheduled items from established engineering masters.
  • Interacting with the purchasing, production, and shipping departments to assess material availability, production capability, and shipping schedules in order to ensure the customer due dates are as accurate as possible.
  • Entering and managing MRP forecasts within ERP software.
  • Interacting with the production department to expedite operations in order to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Interacting with the New Product Launch team in order to process customer orders to customer specifications.
  • Maintaining pricing schedules for all parts and issuing quotes when required

The successful candidate with have:

  • Three years related experience in customer service in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from customers, groups of managers, and vendors.
  • Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office suite, Visual Manufacturing or other ERP/MRP software, and the ability to learn and comprehend new software applications.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and mathematical concepts skill with fractions, percentages, ratios, and statistical inference and the ability to apply these skills to practical situations.
